Brief History of MAUTECH

Mautech is Originally known as the Federal University of Technology Yola (FUTY) before it was renamed to the new name now.

The institution (Mautech) was established in 1981 as part of the federal government's agenda to promote technological education in Nigeria.

In 2011, the university was renamed to  Modibbo Adama University of Technology. This is to honor Modibbo Adama Ibn Hassan, this is a 19th-century Islamic scholar and leader who played a significant role in the region.

Admission Requirements in Mautech

Generally, gaining admissions as an  undergraduate are through the Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) conducted by JAMB and Jupep and Candidates must:

🔹 Obtain a minimum UTME score as specified by the university , typically 150 and above 

🔹They must Have at least five credits in O’Level (WAEC, NECO, or equivalent), including English and Mathematics

🔹 Participate in the university’s Post-UTME screening. Please Mautech is no longer conducting post-utme 

For postgraduate programs, candidates are required to have a bachelor’s degree with a minimum grade as specified by the department (at least second class lower ).
